Phoenix Software, in partnership with Citrix, has the pleasure of inviting you to a half-day technical seminar taking an in-depth look at Citrix’s eagerly-awaited XenDesktop technology.
XenDesktop is Citrix’s entry into the fast-growing virtual desktop market place. Building on 20 years’ experience of delivering desktops and applications via server-based-computing, and their 2007 acquisition of the XenSource hypervisor, Citrix has launched XenDesktop as both an alternative and complementary technology to their XenApp application delivery product.
XenDesktop simplifies the entire desktop lifecycle management process enabling IT workers to quickly deliver, manage and update desktops using a single pristine desktop image.
By centralising desktops in the data centre, XenDesktop makes it easier to secure, control and protect business-critical data and intellectual property.
Also, by separating the delivery of the OS and applications, XenDesktop allows IT to manage a single OS image instead of an image per user. This dramatically simplifies virtual machine management and reduces server-side storage costs.
