Features

Licence Inventory

A comprehensive repository for storing all licence evidence, incorporating purchase/agreement information, upgrade/maintenance management and licence types such as Concurrency, Site and Client Access Licence.

Contract Inventory

The Contract Inventory ensures that all contract terms and conditions are logged and enables effective control of associated product entitlement.

Licensing Intelligence

At the heart of Licence Dashboard is ‘licensing intelligence’. This unique functionality helps users make sense of the complex rules surrounding many volume licensing schemes such as concurrency, base and upgrade licences, downgrade rights etc.

Licence Register/Contract Register

The Licence Register is the main interface for managing an organisation’s installation rights. The register enables licence administrators to aggregate their boxed product, agreement and contract entitlement and report the installation rights of each product deployed.

On Order & Reserve Markers

The ‘On Order’ functionality allows administrators to account for new software from purchase to receipt of licence, ensuring that appropriate records are maintained. The ability to ‘Reserve’ licences allows authorised installations to be highlighted and appropriate action to be taken. In summary, these features give the ability to track, monitor and manage licence purchases effectively.

Installed Product Schedule

Allows users to import data directly from their software audit tools, facilitating the allocation of entitlement to software used. Administrators are then able to manage and control the organisations compliance, reporting over-licensing and shortfalls.

In addition, the interface has a unique technique for managing product downgrade rights.

Manufacturer/Product Dictionaries

Licence Dashboard has central Manufacturer and Product Dictionaries – these ensure that standard descriptions are maintained throughout, thereby reducing the amount of time required to maintain the tool.

Licence Agreement Dictionary

Licence Dashboard has central a Licence Agreement Dictionary which stores agreement information by Manufacturer. This information includes Agreement Type, Agreement Number, Start and Expiry Date and Agreement Administrator.

Integrated Security

Licence Dashboard integrates with the Windows Active Directory and, therefore, creates a single signon security environment. Authenticated users can be easily allocated to pre-defined Dashboard roles, thereby allowing controlled access to the interface.

Compliance/Verification Reports

Licence Dashboard has built-in reports including Compliance status with additional filtering abilities. The application also has the facility to report on downgraded licences which, by providing visibility on licence-use, can help reduce software expenditure.

Audit Cleanse

Most software inventory tools on today’s market are excellent at scanning the network for hardware and software information. Manipulating this software information into a format that enables you to identify your licensable products, however, can become a nightmare.

Phoenix Software has developed its Audit Cleanse Service to extend the software recognition process of most software inventory tools, providing further distilling of scanned software and highlighting which installed products need a licence.
