Citrix Access Gateway 9.2 Enterprise Edition
New licensing options, improved Smartcard support and more clients. Citrix Access Gateway 9.2 is the next release of Enterprise Edition that adds several important features
Access Gateway 9.2, Enterprise Edition includes the following new features:
- Platform Licence. The platform licence allows user connections to XenApp hosted applications or XenDesktop hosted desktops and do not use an Access Gateway user licence for each connection.
- HTML Forms-Based Single Sign-On. Form-based single sign-on allows users to log on once to all protected applications in your network, rather than requiring them to log on separately to access each one. Form-based single sign-on allows users to access Web applications that require an HTML form-based logon without having to type their password again.
- User Name Token Replacement. You can configure bookmarks to file shares and Web sites that are personalised for each logged on user, by including the text %username% as part of the Web address or file share path.
- Localisation of the Access Gateway User Experience. The Access Gateway Plug-in, Access Interface, and the Access Gateway Plug-in for Windows User Guide is localised in the following languages:
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Japanese
- Unicode Character Support. The Access Gateway Plug-in and Access Interface supports Unicode characters. In addition, logon credentials and group names support Unicode characters.
- Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP). You can check certificate status using OSCP, which is an Internet protocol used for obtaining the revocation status of an X.509 digital certificate. You can use OSCP in place of Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL).
- Single Sign-on to the Web Interface with a Smart Card. You can configure single sign-on to the Web Interface using a smart card. To do so, you must use Web Interface 5.3 and Access Gateway 9.2. Single sign-on is controlled using virtual servers and session policies on the Access Gateway.
- Access Gateway Plug-in for Mac OS X. The Access Gateway Plug-in for Mac OS X is supported on Version 10.5 and 10.6 of the Macintosh operating system. The Access Gateway Plug-in is supported on Intel platforms only. For information about installing the plug-in, see the documentation on the Citrix Support Web site.
- Password Changes Using the Access Interface. Users can change their Active Directory passwords in the Access Interface at any time.
- Distributed File Share (DFS). Provides access to shared folders in a wide area network (WAN) and access to shared folders that are in different geographic locations.
