Microsoft announce changes to Core CAL

With effect from August 2011

Lync Std CAL and Forefront Endpoint Protection will be included in the Core CAL (previously only included in the Enterprise CAL) resulting in a 3% increase for Pro Desktop customers for example, with effect from renewal.

Until then, existing Core CAL customers will benefit from the new products at no additional charge.

Customers wishing to deploy Lync or Forefront prior to August can request 'early use rights'*
