Enterprise Suites

Symantec is launching three new Enterprise Editions to its Protection Suite family:

• Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition for Endpoints 3.0
• Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition for Gateway 3.0
• Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition for Servers 3.0

The Suites are targeted at Enterprises with 1000+ employees, with focus on the 1000-5000 segment. The Suites address problems encountered by Managers of specific enterprise IT functional areas, such as endpoint/desktop, network operations, and server security.

Symantec is expanding their suite strategy with additional offerings to provide customers with the solutions that best match their environments. These new suites are a direct result of existing customer requests, and will make it easier for them to acquire solutions focused at solving the IT security challenges that most frequently impact their businesses.

Symantec is launching a new addition to its Protection Suite family for mid-market customers.

Hosted Services Add-On

Last month Symantec saw the general availability of hosted email and Web security add-on SKUs for Symantec Protection Suite customers.

The add-on SKUs help protect users against mail threats, spam, and Web-borne malware in the cloud - before they reach the corporate network. With the availability of the new add-on SKUs, Symantec and its partners can now readily offer proven hosted security and management technologies for email and Web from Symantec, and customers now have the flexibility and choice to deploy both on-site and hosted technologies depending on their environment and system needs. The ability to offer a combination of both on-premise solutions as well as hosted solutions further enables Symantec and Symantec partners to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.
