Oracle Campus Arrangement for Further Education

Oracle has developed a new licensing and pricing arrangement for Further Education (FE) Institutions.

After valuable feedback from individual institutions and the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA), Oracle has devised a pricing arrangement which better meets the needs of the FE community. In particular, the new arrangement includes:

• Broader Product Range - Oracle's 'technology' products are now available under the new Campus Arrangement. Database and Application Server products are included as before but now extended to include database options (e.g. RAC, Management Packs), Service Oriented Architecture, Business Intelligence, Identity Management and Enterprise Content Management
  
• Campus-wide and Project-based Licensing - a staff full-time equivalent (FTE) metric, for campus-wide licensing, is now available at 85% discount. Once you have staff FTE licences in place, attractive pricing is available for general purpose/project-based licensing, on Named User or Processor metrics
  
• Free Migration - for existing Campus customers, a free of charge migration to the new arrangement is offered, based on the effective Staff FTE number at the last time of top-up. A simple true-up to current staff FTE levels, based on published Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) figures, is all that is then required to move to the new Campus arrangement
