Phoenix Software Named EMEA and Global Desktop Partner of the Year and Partner Executive MVP at VMware Partner Exchange 2012

by Val Sinclair 15. February 2012 11:28

Phoenix Software has been named the EMEA and Global recipient of two VMware Partner Network Awards in the Desktop and Executive MVP categories by VMware.  The awards were presented at VMware Partner Exchange 2012, VMware’s annual partner event, on 14 February in Las Vegas, Nev.

“We are proud to acknowledge the achievements made in 2011 by members of the VMware partner ecosystem and congratulate Phoenix Software on winning two VMware Partner Network Awards,” said Doug Smith, vice president, global partner strategy and operations, VMware.

Sam Mudd, Director at Phoenix Software, said:

“End User Computing has been gaining momentum slowly over the last few years where Desktop Virtualization is concerned, and VMware’s View product has provided Phoenix with the ability to create solutions for our clients that offer improved desktop performance, lower IT management involvement and improved service levels.

“We are delighted that our work in this field has been recognized on a European and Global platform, and that our tried and tested Phoenix/VMware VDI solution is known for delivering an environmentally positive solution at cost effective pricing for clients in price sensitive sectors such as Education, Health and the Public Sector.

“On a personal level, I am also delighted to have been named VMware’s European Partner Executive Most Valued Person.  This award reflects the commitment we as a company have to VMware and my close working relationship with key executives at VMware.  By being involved so closely, we are able to bring real value to our customers around VMware’s virtualization and cloud offerings.”
