Storage Area Networks
A Storage Area Network (SAN) is a network specifically dedicated to the task of transporting data for storage and retrieval. SAN architectures are alternatives to storing data on disks directly attached to servers or storing data on Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices which are connected through general purpose networks

HP and dell
- Phoenix Software has deployed SAN architecture from Dell and HP for over five years
- This has included DR facilities for HP EVA range and Dell EMC CX Range
- A large charity migrated to VMware's entire Infrastructure including 50+ servers with a failover DR site running mirror systems on HP BladeSystems and HP EVA SAN.
- Large Housing Association migrated to VMware infrastructure including 30 applications. This was to be run on DELL BladeSystems and Dell EMC CX SAN.
- Provided bi-directional replication from the two production sites - thereby providing full DR.
