IT Infrastructure

In a world where yesterday’s IT practices can no longer cope with the new realities of growth and pace of business, IT infrastructure solutions from Phoenix Software provide affordable, always-ready, secure IT at the speed of today’s business decisions.

With the advent of cloud infrastructure platforms and the growth of server and desktop virtualisation, we work with the world’s leading manufacturers in this space – Dell, Microsoft, IBM, VMware, NetApp and many more.

Indeed, we have attained some of the industry’s highest accreditations and experience for value-added services in all the key flexible IT solution areas – Virtualisation (Citrix, Microsoft and VMware), Storage (Dell, Fusion-io, HP, NetApp, NexGen and Nimble Storage) and Big Data and Data Loss Prevention (Sophos, Swivel, Symantec and Trend Micro). Our portfolio is world-class.

In addition, our highly-trained technical consultants can assist your organisation with the planning, design, implementation and upgrade or migration to new infrastructure environments – either on-premise, in the cloud or as a hybrid set up.

Virtual Infrastructure Solutions – Desktop & End User Computing

Phoenix Software is a one of the UK’s most highly-accredited desktop virtualisation providers having deployed hundreds of solutions.

Desktop virtualisation can be used to deliver a full desktop experience, unrestricted by hardware or location. It is an attractive concept, not just for existing users of virtualisation technology, but to any organisation struggling to manage end user desktop software and hardware effectively, especially over multiple locations.

Virtual Infrastructure Solutions – Server

Winning global accolades, we have been recognised by the vendors such as VMware, Citrix and Microsoft as an accredited virtualisation practitioner with an excellent pedigree in building sustainable, cost effective, robust and most importantly super-fast solutions specifically to cope with the high demands of today’s organisations.

Whether it’s the server or desktop, virtualisation helps you free up limited resources and provides you with IT control and flexibility, enabling you efficiently to scale as your needs evolve and your organisation grows. We can help you optimise your data centre while reducing costs by up to 50% and releasing capacity through server virtualisation and consolidation.

Data Centre Solutions

As a complement to our software licensing expertise, Phoenix Software has gained an excellent reputation for providing IT services and solutions which deliver comprehensive value and savings in the data centre.

For some of our customers, facing hundreds of gigabytes of data for the first time may trigger a need to reconsider data management options. For others, it may take tens or hundreds of terabytes before data size becomes a significant consideration. Whatever Big Data means to you, Phoenix Software can help.

IT Storage

Organisations face major challenges as budgets shrink yet annual data growth forecasts grow. Historically, storage estates have grown organically in silos, resulting in difficulties for Storage Administrators to get a complete view of their assets, what available storage they have, along with what could be reclaimed – often resulting in unnecessary purchases.

Here at Phoenix Software, we can help you right-size your storage estate and ensure you have the most appropriate technologies from whichever manufacturer best-suits your organisation – Dell, Fusion-io, HP, IBM, EMC, NetApp, NexGen and Nimble Storage to name but a few.

IT Archiving

Phoenix Software was one of the pioneering solution providers of email archiving and file archiving solutions. Today, we are one of Symantec’s principal Consulting Partners for Enterprise Vault and Enterprise

We provide a range of services that enable you to understand the value of Enterprise Vault and how it will integrate with your current messaging system. Enterprise Vault supports Exchange and Lotus Notes – it can also provide all of your file and SharePoint archiving.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Protecting your critical business applications and data is vital when it comes to keeping your organisation up-and-running in the event of a disaster. We have a range of business continuity solutions that enable your organisation to develop a cost effective high availability infrastructure.

Phoenix Software provides a mix of software and professional services to help plan, implement and service your institution’s most valuable assets.

Physical Infrastructure Solutions

We have always been proud of the fact we offer leading-edge IT solutions which make a real difference to the cost of running and maintaining an IT environment, and all of the compliance responsibilities that come with it.

Our team has the skills, experience and partnerships with leading technology vendors to offer you the best and most appropriate infrastructure solutions to suit your organisation’s needs. What is more, we’re behind you every step of the way – our product and technical specialists will help with everything from technology choice to design, deployment, training and support. Plus, many of the IT Infrastructure Solutions we offer are also available as hosted or cloud-based services.

Cloud Computing

Partnered with Windows (Azure), VMware (vCloud Air) and Citrix (XenDesktop), Phoenix Software provides and supports a range of hosted platforms and environments to allow you to move to the cloud – when you want and how you want to.

We offer a number of solutions designed to enable you to meet virtualisation, centralisation, hosting, development, storage and automation needs, while enhancing your working environment and simultaneously reducing the resource required to do so.

Making the move to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) not only reduces back-end resource requirements, but also increases functionality and flexibility for the operation of your day-to-day business. It also creates a more favourable environment for your end users/employees, enabling them to work more effectively and efficiently.

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)

Some big name players have now entered the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud space to compete with Amazon and the like.

Microsoft launched IaaS on Microsoft Azure and immediately vowed to match Amazon’s frequent price cuts. Google unveiled Google Compute Engine and introduced per-minute billing in a bid to improve upon the per-hour pricing that Amazon uses. VMware, whose server virtualisation software has long been the stuff on which private clouds have been built, launched vCloud Air. Microsoft and VMware are pitching the value of having a compatible infrastructure from a single vendor for both public and private clouds. Google’s enterprise story isn’t clear yet.

Our highly-trained technical consultants can assist by working you through the myriad of options available, enabling you to plan, design and upgrade/migrate to these new infrastructure environments. With years of on-premise and cloud infrastructure experience, we know what the benefits are and what pit falls you might encounter as you migrate to an IaaS strategy.
