Engage: Education
Well that’s a wrap on our first Engage: Education session – and what an event it was!
Thanks to all our our education customers that attended across schools, colleges and universities as we discussed how to work, teach and connect in this flexible hybrid learning environment that we find ourselves in.
On this panel we were joined by Steve Beswick (Surface Business Development Director, Microsoft Education), Tasha Dalton-Winterton BEM (Assistant Principal, City College Peterborough), Scott Fidoe (IT Technician, City College Peterborough), and David Brown (Modern Workplace and Accessibility Lead, Phoenix Software) and they bought a range of views and perspectives as to how we can ensure that learning can be accessible to all – no matter of location, needs or device.
For the first section we talked with Steve Beswick around what Microsoft are seeing happening in the Education sector and how schools, colleges and universities have pivoted to adopt new teaching and learning techniques. We then spoke with Tasha Dalton-Winterton BEM and Scott Fidoe from City College Peterborough as to how they have maintained contact with students and enabled learning to continue across their courses for all students using Microsoft Teams and Surface devices.
After this we opened the session to you and answered your questions around subjects such as keeping pace with the change in M365, the value of the Surface family of products, ensuring security, cost implications, digital poverty and more.
