What is DTA 21?

DTA 21 is the new three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Microsoft and the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) which provides Special Pricing and Special Terms to eligible UK Public Sector Customers (replaces existing DTA). The arrangement begins on 1 May 2021 and runs through to 30 April 2024.

What products are included?

Microsoft 365 plans, Microsoft 365 E5 Security & Compliance, Phone System Calling Plans, Azure, Dynamics 365, & Power Platform Cloud Services.

The MOU also allows Public Sector organisations to maintain on-premise server licensing discounts.

What does it mean for my Organisation?

a. We are an existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Customer
If you are an eligible Public Sector organisation with an existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement in place, you will continue to be licensed under that agreement and the terms of that agreement until expiry. Upon expiry of that agreement (prior to 30th April 2024), you will renew under the new MOU (DTA 21) and be eligible for the special pricing and terms set out under this arrangement.

b. We don’t currently have an Enterprise Agreement in place
From 1 May you will be able to sign up to a new Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and benefit from the discounts and terms available under DTA 21 (eligible customers only).
