Start your school’s Microsoft journey today – launching our new Teacher Inspiration Workshop Series!

As part of Phoenix’s continued dedicated work alongside Microsoft as a Global Training Partner, we are delighted to bring you another series of FREE Microsoft Webinars in our Teacher Inspiration Workshop Series: Journey to Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE).

Tailored towards digital leaders within schools these twilight webinars have been designed to educate teachers with simple and practical Microsoft technology tools available FREE as part of Office 365 subscriptions which can be used to drive digital transformation in your school environment. Alongside this, we encourage those schools who aspire to attain Microsoft Showcase School status, to enroll colleagues within this programme so that we can educate them in the role of becoming a Microsoft MIEE representative for your school.

The series is a fantastic opportunity for those teachers who are looking to elevate their professional development and learn how to get the most out of their Microsoft technology to utilise it to engage pupils and save themselves valuable time. However, as stand-alone workshops school leaders may feel that all school staff would benefit from attendance in some sessions, therefore we have ensured the workshops are concise and fit into a twilight staff meeting slot, with all sessions being made available on demand following the webinar should you miss a step within the series and wish to catch up.

The focus on the sessions will be include engaging in the Microsoft Community programmes to support both your own and school’s continued professional development utilising Microsoft technology as well as practical tips for how to get the most out of your Office 365 subscriptions. We know as a result of the pandemic many schools have dived into the use of technology for remote learning, however what we aim to do within this teacher inspiration series is focus upon how you can embed technology into the school environment to support both staff to reduce their workloads and increasing engagement and independent working for students.

The six workshops will take you through the journey of becoming a Microsoft Innovative Educator by initially outlining the Microsoft community programme, followed by four technology focused sessions exploring accessibility, saving time with Microsoft Forms and getting the most out of Microsoft Teams for both staff communication and student resources. Finally, we will summarise the learning with a final session focused on how you can take your use of technology to digitally transform your teaching and apply to gain recognition for this as part of the Microsoft Innovative Educator Programme, unlocking a whole community of like-minded educators you can share with and learn from as part of Microsoft UK’s wonderful MIEE community. The aim is that within each workshop you will gain knowledge of a tool which you will be able to go away and implement immediately to digitally transform the way you teach and communicate with students and colleagues.

At Phoenix, we know how hard school leaders and teachers have worked this year and hope this series of FREE practical workshops will inspire you to engage with the technology at your fingertipsgiving you back precious and valuable time as well as supporting you to gain the well-earnt recognition for the amazing ways you are using technology to inspire children’s minds and engage them within their learning.
