Rubrik to accelerate joint solutions and deliver cyber resiliency for Microsoft customers

Phoenix partner, Rubrik recently announced a strategic agreement with Microsoft to mitigate ransomware threats and securely integrate cloud services on Azure, providing critical support for our customers undergoing digital transformation.

As organisations accelerate digital transformation and look to cloud adoption for security, scalability, and remote management, the focus on end-to-end data management and protection of their enterprise applications, including backup and disaster recovery and data security has increased. Phoenix customers can now address these needs with agility and efficiency as they migrate data to the cloud through an agreement between our partners, Rubrik and Microsoft to deliver integrated Zero Trust data protection solutions built on Microsoft Azure. Together, Rubrik and Microsoft will provide Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud data protection and integrated cloud services on Microsoft Azure, allowing Phoenix customers to benefit from an integrated approach to cloud adoption and management and cyber security.

With Rubrik and Microsoft, mission-critical applications such as SAP, SQL, Oracle, VMware, and enterprise NAS workloads can combine protection and automation with Azure for greater productivity and better optimisation of resources. Rapid recovery from ransomware, automation of data operations, and the transition of data to the cloud are some of the most pressing modern data challenges for organisations and this agreement provides a solution to growing customer needs to protect against ransomware attacks, which are rapidly increasing at 150% annually.

As a key partner to both Rubrik and Microsoft, Phoenix customers will gain additional data protection from this project to ensure that critical Microsoft 365 data is secure, easily discoverable, and always accessible in the case of a malicious attack, ransomware attack, accidental deletion, or corruption. Rubrik also offers additional support and protection for Microsoft 365, including instant search and restore and policy-based management at scale, and long-term archival of Microsoft 365 data for the purposes of regulatory compliance.

Poppy Angell, Data Protection Specialist at Phoenix comments on how the agreement benefits Phoenix customers, “Microsoft’s equity investment in Rubrik solidifies the message that innovative and forward-thinking solutions – like those that Rubrik offer – are the best and most effective way to manage your security resiliency and cyber recovery plan. We endorse Rubrik to our customers on the basis that they are forward thinking, market leaders in both data protection, and Zero Trust resiliency.”
