Following on from and expanding on our previous episode of POD on Women in IT, we felt that we were addressing a subject that is very topical at the moment and therefore wanted to extend our invitation to guests outside of Phoenix.

So, on this episode of POD some of the best leaders and female workers within the IT industry discuss their careers in IT (the good, the bad and the ugly) to hopefully showcase to any aspiring females that IT and technology is a great industry to work in, for anyone – of any gender. We also hope to encourage a new era of women to take the plunge and join the industry.

Sam Mudd – Managing Director, Phoenix Software
With nearly 30 years of experience working in the IT industry in Sales & Leadership roles. Managing Director of Phoenix Software Ltd, responsible for Strategy, Business Development and Sales Solutions, across the group which provides expertise in Software Licence Management, SAM / ITAM process, methodology and IT Solutions.

Sarah Shields – Vice President for Central and North Europe Channel, Dell Technologies
Sarah is the Channel chief at Dell technologies across Austria, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. She’s responsible for developing strong relationships and enabling partners to achieve amazing growth across the Dell Technologies portfolio. Focused on making digital transformation a channel reality.

Rachel Gray – Director of Education EMEA, Adobe
Rachel is an award-winning and global strategic sales leader with a deep knowledge and experience of the IT sector. She has excelled in many different roles across organisations including sales, business development, strategy & operations over a 20 year career at Cisco, a 2 years at Experian.  Rachel has recently joined Adobe to run Education Sales across EMEA where she and her team are advancing digital literacy initiatives with students, faculty and staff to inspire and empower the next generation with the skills that they will need to propel their future success.

Louise Fellows – Director for Public Sector UK&I, VMware
Louise Fellows is the Director for Public Sector for the UK and Ireland. She is responsible for driving growth in the sector and helping attract the very best talent to the field via partnerships with customers and partners. Her aim is to develop more inclusive, informed communities, which help those in public services accelerate their digital transformation efforts, master a software defined approach to business and IT, transforming cities and places for all citizens.

Helen Smith –  Partner Success Manager, Microsoft
Helen has been at Microsoft for five years and is currently a Partner Success Manager for Teams. She is very proud to have also had the opportunity over the last two years to  lead Accessibility with the Partner community. Helen has been in the channel for 12 years working in various roles from lead generation to partner management. She is passionate about creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about inclusivity and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop people in the IT Industry.

Libby Bagley – Community Manager, License Dashboard
Libby Bagley has worked in the IT industry for eight years, specifically within ITAM. She has a passion and drive for marketing within the technology industry and has years of knowledge behind specific subjects such as Software Asset Management.  During the last eight years Libby has built strong relationships throughout the industry and is currently the Community Manager at License Dashboard where she works closely with customers and partners to understand the challenges they face and how she can help them. Libby is also a Women in Tech Ambassador.

Tory Simpson – Head of Digital & Creative,  ResourceiT Consulting
When it comes to digital and creative input, no-one moves faster than Tory. With an exceptional ability to quickly and effectively execute digital and social media, Tory is 100% focussed on successful engagement and tangible outcomes. She leads her fabulous team to be consistently innovating, learning and growing and will take on any task no matter how big or how tight the deadline. Tory gained varied experience in intense and fast-paced roles such as Marketing Manager at Avnet and Global Social Media Manager at Snow Software.
