The rise in the number of Public Sector organisations that are looking to digitally transform while simultaneously reducing expenditure has led to a surge in the managed services industry, whether that’s hardware, software or a combination of the two.
It’s believed that more than two-thirds of organisations have already partnered with at least one managed service provider to handle their IT. The reason for this is a simple one – a managed service provider can take on the responsibility for the day-to-day running of systems and leave their customer free to focus on innovation. But this isn’t the only reason, they are also looking at managed services for the following:
- More efficient and reliable IT operations
- Enhanced security and compliance
- A proactive approach to maintenance
- Cost effectiveness and return on investment
- Free up internal IT staff to work on strategic projects
