Hybrid Cloud – Data Centre Extend
Most organisations have in-house skills and expertise in the technology they currently use in their existing data centres.
Read moreMany organisations are supporting their businesses today by operating in some form of hybrid cloud model.
This means that they have a proportion of their workloads running from an on-premise location while at the same time accessing cloud services. This could be something as simple as using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) app like Microsoft 365.
While this is hybrid, most see hybrid cloud as an organisation leveraging Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) while also still operating an on-premise data centre. Truly connecting your datacentre to a cloud providers IaaS or PaaS service means you can choose the best place to house your applications and data. Easy workload migration to and from the cloud allows you to leverage cloud when it’s the right thing to do.
