We’re incredibly proud to share that Phoenix has once again been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. It’s a recognition that doesn’t come from a panel of judges or a self-nomination form. It comes directly from the people who know Phoenix best: our own team.
What the award measures
Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces for Development list isn’t handed out lightly. To be eligible, organisations must achieve a minimum 65% score on the development index, and that score is built on direct, confidential employee feedback across five specific statements:
- I am offered training or development to further myself professionally
- I am given the resources and equipment to do my job
- Promotions go to those who best deserve them
- Managers avoid favouritism
- Management trusts people to do a good job without watching over their shoulders
For us to land on this list, #TeamPhoenix said yes to those statements in numbers that put us amongst the very best workplaces in the UK. We don’t take that lightly for a second.
The story

A culture that trusts you to grow into the role you want. We don’t promote based on tenure or favouritism. We promote based on merit, potential, and the hard work our people put in every day.
